Christ, Are You Kidding Me?

I'm sure they'll be on Hell's Kitchen next.

And then there's this quote:

A separate 2005 study provided the first sign dolphins may be capable of group learning and using tools, with a mother seen teaching her daughters to break off sea sponges and wear them as protection while scouring the seafloor in Western Australia.

That's not journalism; it's unabashed speciesism. Sea sponges are animals too. So what if they're asexual and have no nervous, digestive, or circulatory systems? It doesn't make them tools.

Free the Porifera.

Stop dolphin propaganda.

Can you see Gordon Ramsey trying to curse with scuba gear on? Sounds awesome.

Ah, yes, it had been a long time since we had a bit of dolphin bashing.

Did you see my comment on the book roast? My daughter feeds dolphins to her mermaids.

Good writing by the way. The Koala is almost pleased. She'd just like to see that last zero drop off your list and then you would be back on The Koala Approves.

Whoa! I honestly had no idea dolphins had processes like this; used tools, basically.

I missed the dolphin thing, too, BT.

Sea sponges are asexual? Then what's the point? The dolphin's doing them a favor, says I.

It's hard to respect an order called the Periphery. I mean Porifera.

See what happens when I lay off the dolphin bashing for any length of time? Everyone slips deeper under their spell. Next they'll be swaying the way you vote in elections and convincing you of the need to donate money to their cause.

That is awesome!! They are better than me, I will admit. I would just serve the thing, ink and bones and all, to my family and dare them to complain.
;-)

I still LOVE this McChallenge! Those word counts are pretty similar to mine. When I really sit down to write, I can't do much more than 500 words of new stuff per day. Some days are still 0, but I'm working on that too.

Uh oh with the freebies, BT.
McK is gonna gitcha.

blogless, if you want to bash dolphins, I saw this documentary you need to catch. There was a high incidence of adolescent dolphins who were killed by being rammed by other bottlenosed dolphins. took a while to figure out what was going on, but it happened on I think Hilton Head and in one area of Scotland. that's something you don't think about dolphins doing, but they were eventually caught on film ramming and tossing lone adolescent dolphins in the air. A literal gang of young male dolphins became murders on both sides of the pond. Might have been more than one group, too.
