Robin, probably the only sport with a longer post season than NBA basketball is hockey, which lasts three years.
End to end the NBA playoffs last about two months. Sunday is the end of the second round. There are 2 more rounds to go, so it's about half over. But to answer your question, mid June.

Anyway, didn't basketball used to end before baseball started? Seriously.
I always thought it was baseball, then the World Series of baseball that's really only American teams, then football, then playoffs and a January Super Bowl party, then basketball, and then they hurry the fuck up and finish up before the baseball guys whoop out of spring training.
It was like planets, knowing they had to stay on their own special little trajectories so the stars would remain aligned properly.
I mean, really.
If you watch ESPN, you'd think football season never ends.
ESPN is a rarity around here. I'm married to a Brit whose sports are squash and occasionally tennis, but mainly golf. So if ESPN has golf on, OK.
Otherwise, the Golf Channel is our de facto here. It's on every day. Talk about a sport never ending...........................................................................................................................

And you're right about hockey. I was astonished to see that game one of the conference finals was today. Not even the cup finals, just the conference finals. I think Dave Barry once defined March as the month when you think the Stanley Cup playoffs will end, but they don't.
